Czech coal-based power output down 1.5 pct in Jan-Sep

Electricity output from coal power plants in the Czech Republic fell 1.5 percent in the first nine months of 2011, according to official estimates, suggesting a slightly smaller carbon footprint in the country’s energy sector compared to last year.
