EUAs down 1 pct as EU economic fears grow

EU carbon fell more than 1 percent on Thursday amid growing fears that the euro zone crisis will plunge the region’s economy into recession, but modest buying by utilities hoisted the benchmark EUA contract back above a near-term support level.
