Take my poll as to how the City of San Diego should best help the Chargers finance a new
downtown football stadium. Now you may be wondering what this has to do with
environmental news. Let me tell you. The developers of the new Los Angeles football
stadium have pledged to buy carbon credits to reduce their carbon footprint.
I propose San Diego build the first carbonneutral stadium in the country, perhaps the world,
not by buying credits, but by making it "green" enough to not only be carbon neutral, but also
generate a positive return by qualifying for carbon credits for the City of San Diego.
No easy task, but I'm sure smarter heads than mine can figure it out,
