Japan’s CO2 emissions to rise for second successive year


Japan’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions will rise 2.1 percent to 1.146 billion tonnes in the 12 months ending March 2012 and could surge more than 5 percent the year after if dozens of nuclear plants are not back online, according to a government-backed agency.
